Beth R., owner founded Wolfgang's Pet Stop in the Central West End of St. Louis in December of 2004. The company was inspired by her love for her dog, Wolfgang and her passion for contributing to the pet-friendly community in which she lives. She was born and raised in a suburb of St. Louis and moved to the city to start her career as an educator in 2001. After teaching a few years, she changed her career to that of entrepreneurship. She takes much pride in running a family business with her husband, dog and daughter often working by her side.
Paul R., co-owner, manager, baker is also from the St. Louis area. When he's not at the register, you'll find Paul in the kitchen baking and decorating his canine cookies. Of course, Wolfgang will be at his feet serving as chief taste-tester! He has a background ranging from mathematics, information and library sciences and information security. He left the Department of Defense to join the family business in February 2006.
Mandi D., asst. salon manager has been with Wolfgang’s Pet Stop for over a year and working in the industry for five years. With a life-long love of all animals, Mandi has cared for a menagerie of pets, including dogs, rabbits, turtles, gerbils, hamsters, sugar gliders, and horses. Currently Mandi is owned by two dogs, a 5 yr old Boston Terrier / Rat Terrier mix named Ellie, and a 2 yr old Australian Shepherd named Talia. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Equine Administration from William Woods University in Fulton, MO. She has lots of experience working in the animal industry, ranging from doggie day-camps, grooming, to equine caretaker. Her hobbies include dog show performance trainer and exhibitor with her Aussie. She’s active with several local training groups that work on skills in Obedience, Rally, Disc Dog, and Agility.
Rachel M., pet stylist has been grooming for Wolfgang’s Pet Stop for nearly 8 years. Having grown up with animals, Rachel has always felt comfortable working with them. She finds it both therapeutic and rewarding to see an animal improving from the care and time she dedicates. She has more than a decade of experience working in the pet industry. She’s worked as a petcare attendant, an assistant vet tech and a bather before training to become a pet stylist. Her attention to detail can’t be beat!
Kelly S., pet stylist has been with Wolfgang’s Pet Stop for over 4 years. Kelly grew up around animals and first groomed the family poodle at the age of 16. For the past 12 years she has worked in the grooming industry professionally as she’s developed and refined her bathing, clipping and finishing skills. Between her work in the salon and having tended to pets at a boarding and daycamp she has honed her pet-handling skills, too. She regularly demonstrates patience and a clear intuition regarding the pets’ state of mind and health. She’s had much success working with puppy-mill rescues and the special-needs pups in general. Kelly has an artistic flair and is known to get a kick out of creative grooming, sculpting shapes and dying coats.
Tanja M., pet stylist came to us more than four years ago. She’s been grooming in the St. Louis area for 17 years. She’s was first attracted to the grooming industry after staying in England at a kennel and cattery. After experiencing the groom salon their she sought out formal training at the Missouri School of Dog Grooming. introduced and took her new skills home and refined them. She still finds reward in the work because she likes building trust in the dogs and cats she grooms and finds it satisfying to see results in the grooming process.
Steve C., pet stylist has been with us more than a year and has been grooming for more than eight years. He was first introduced to grooming as a career while in Sweden getting some tips on grooming his chow chow, Chewbaca, Inspired; he decided to learn the trade. Having always felt a little socially awkward, he loves that grooming allows him to break the ice and build relationships with both the dogs and their people… a way to be part of the family. He likes the counter-culture and his favorite breed to groom is schnauzers because he likes the angles. Outside of the salon, Steve is all rock’n roll, as he plays guitar and drums in a couple different local bands. Feel free to ask him about them!
Kristin B., trainer, sales and petcare attendant started with Wolfgang’s Pet Stop more than 6 years ago. She has worn many hats (bather, petcare attendant, sales, training) but has continued to pursue and develop her expertise in canine behavior, her true passion.
Chelsea I., sales, bather and petcare attendant started at Wolfgang’s Pet Stop more than a year ago and has been in the animal industry for 5 years. She’s worked as a veterinary assistant, pet bather, sales, pet sitting and petcare attendant. She’s also volunteered with an animal shelter. All the day camp dogs yowl with excitement when she walks in the shop and customer service is her specialty as she aims to please!
Emily Lutz, petcare attendant is the newest pack member at Wolfgang’s Pet Stop. Her relationship with her german shepherd inspired her to volunteer at the Humane Society and with rescue dogs at a dog daycare dealing with canine behaviors associated with fear and aggression. She was hooked! She came to Wolfgang’s to learn more about the world of canine behavior by working with our daycare pack each day (not nearly as much fear and aggression here). She also has a variety of other talents to bring to the table… she speaks Spanish, plays violin and is an artist!
